It could be very difficult for you to get your foot in the door in terms of game testing jobs if this is something that you have just started doing. The reason for this is because you will more often than not have to have a certain amount of experience to go with any required skills. So how are you going to get experience in this field if you can’t get a job without having experience it really is a catch 22 situation. So when it comes to getting a job testing games, the following ideas should help you to pick one up.

 

- It is probably best to accept some jobs paying low wages in the beginning. As long as these low paying gigs are not going to exploit you then you should be able to gain experience from doing them. You can up your charges once you have some experience behind you and you will also find that the work is much easier to come by when you have experience.

 

- One of the best places to find your feet is online in the game testing communities. The money to be made in these venues won’t be great, but it is certainly better than nothing. In the beginning you will be a small fish in a large pond, but you can network and find your way to the better paying gigs.

 

- Although it would be quite rare for someone starting off to be accepted for a high paying job, you could be lucky so keep applying for these jobs. With more experience you can improve your resume and this will make it more likely that you will be accepted. Persistence pays and your tenacity is likely going to impress a lot of recruiters enough to eventually offer you a job.

hey i was wondern', if i were to download games for psp off my PC, wood it work if i were to tranfer it to my psp??? if not..how wood i make it work..wood i need a custom firmware?how?

You need a custom firmaware like 3.71 m33 or 3.51,etc. there are a lot of them. When you have it you can put the games in your psp. You can download any game you want here:

As of now i am no longer allowing comments as i am getting swarmed with emails and peoples problems, when they don’t read comments when i have solved the problem – so i keep repeating myself and its getting beyond the joke.. so here are some of the most common solutions to problems.. however if these do not help you.. please feel free to contact me via private message. However again if the problem has been covered here and you email me.. i will NOT reply.

1) To put multiple disks on a psp, put the disks in separate folders – wer wird 1 for disk 1.. wer wird 2 for disk 2… etc

2) You MUST have CUSTOM FIRMWARE not ordinary Sony firmware.. otherwise this will NOT work

3) If you get an error message or frozen screen on the ps1 logo whilst loading the game.. put the folders of the games in a GAME150 folder instead of GAME

4)Any custom firmware above 3.03oec will work.. anything below will not

5) To install custom firmware on a psp you MUST be on a previous version of custom firmware or on a psp running 1.5 official sony firmware

6) If you have a up to date or close to sony official firmware psp e.g. 3.9 – you will need what is called a ‘Pandora battery’ and ‘jigsaw memory stick’ – these allow you to downgrade any version of psp to 1.5 (to obtain both of these devices you will have to use sites / shops such as ebay and amazon.. and local mod shops)

7) If one or more or all of the files do not appear on your desktop after conversion.. check where your output folder is set to and look there.. its on the window just before you click convert on clonecd

For programs such as cloncd and popstation you will have to use sites such as QJ.NET to download them from

9) To do this process you must have a physical PlayStation disk of the game you want to convert.. it is illegal to download ISO’S of games and this process still wont work

10) Make sure to double click the GAME disk on clonecd and not any other

11) This will not work for ps2 games so don’t bother trying

12) To open the downloaded files e.g. popstation in rar or zip format you will need a program such as STUFFIT – use google

11) *****WARNING***** if downgrading any psp to any version is done incorrectly .. there is the risk of ‘BRICKING’ this would mean without a Pandora battery.. your psp will shut down and not turn on again.. only the power light will work.. with a Pandora battery and jigsaw MS you would be able to fix this – i DON’T take any responsibility for damage done to your psp – your OWN risk

I am trying to find some PSP games for girlfriend who is a 22 year old grad student to play in her downtime. She doesn't play much but doesn't really like my taste in video games (GTA, God of War, Madden, etc.) What are some good games that she might enjoy and not be bored or offended by? I know she's into platformers and puzzles if that helps.

Now onto some cool tips for gaming online.

That left handed mouse will appreciate getting a rest from time to time. It really is ok to take a break from gaming in fact it is often required. If is difficult to care for your body and mind if all you do everyday is sit in front of a video game. If you are sleep deprived and not eating right it will affect your gaming experience. Of course, all of the games available throughout the world are indeed addicting. It is imperative to give yourself and those around you a break from time to time. Getting burned out is not nearly as beneficial as returning to the game fully refreshed. Practice a lot. Becoming a benefit to your gaming team takes time to hone those skills necessary for great game play. Your first day will not result in instant success so don’t expect to be an expert the first day. For example, it may take some time to figure out how the left handed mouse is to be used. As with any other game you will need to work hard to get good at playing especially left handed. The more time you invest in practicing your gaming skills the easier it will become. You will have more fun as you learn to play the games efficiently.

Most games have a learning curve associated with them, and you should learn about your game, as well. A video tutorial showing how to download PSP latest firmware 3.71 onto PSP.

1. Go to: http://www.us.playstation.com/PSP , then click on updates at the bottom left. (you need an account to download it, but its fast and free)
2. Read instructions and click download. Save file as: EBOOT.PBP. connect PSP and create folder called “UPDATE” in caps in the GAME folder, which is in the PSP folder. Save it in updates.
3. Once downloaded, disconnect PSP, and go to games, and download firmware. Very easy.
