This has always been a difficult decision since Rock Band broke into the market, which game is right for you? This decision is becoming ever more harder because both game developers are releasing more and more games, so this post should help you decide which game is right for you.

Starting with Guitar Hero 2, this is the first music game to be released onto the next generation consoles. This game may be very good, however, it only has a guitar career so I personally wouldn’t recommend it to beginners. I do think this game is a good buy if you are a fan of classic songs like Free Bird.

Guitar Hero 3 is the next one to consider, it’s available for both the next gen consoles, the Xbox 360 and the PS3. Guitar Hero 3 is similar to Guitar Hero 2, very good, but the guitar is the only playable instrument. However, I believe that this game has the best song line up so this is a must have for a Guitar Hero fan.

The next couple are both band based games, Guitar Hero Aerosmith and Guitar Hero Metallica. Based on what I just said, these games are not brilliant for beginners because you don’t get the range of songs that you would in the normal games. Unless you are a fan of that particular band, I wouldn’t recommend that you buy them.

Guitar Hero World Tour was a very popular game because it was the first Guitar Hero to contain all 4 instruments. However, I personally don’t think the set list is very good. It’s full of very old and cheesy songs, although, it is a fun one for the whole family to play.

Now for the latest Guitar Hero game, Guitar Hero Greatest Hits. In my opinion this game is the best for any beginner Guitar Hero player or even for an entire family. I believe this because the song list is built up from the best songs from Guitar Hero 1,2,3, 80’s and Aerosmith. This means that you get the best set list from all those games, plus the ability to play through the songs using any of the available instruments.

Now onto the competitor, Rock Band. The first game, Rock Band 1, was extremely good because it had a great set list as well as the addition of the full range of instruments. The guitars they made were a bit of a disappointment but the game itself if very good. However, with Rock Band 2 being released, this is a much better game than Rock Band 1 because it comes with an equally brilliant set list, but it also comes with improved features. Also, with Rock Band 2, if you purchase the first game, you can put all those tracks onto the latest Rock Band 2 game.

The big downside to Rock Band 2 in Europe is that you can’t purchase the new drum set which comes with a range of added features like metal drum pedals. Note: The new instruments are being released in September with the release of The Beatles: Rock Band.

That’s not it, Rock Band also features a huge amount of downloadable songs that you can buy for the game. They have hundreds of songs that you can download, plus all of these work on any of the Rock Band games so you can always be growing you song list.

But, for beginners, is Rock Band a good game? I would say no, however, it has to be the best game for any experienced player because it has a hugely expandable set list with new songs being released for download almost every week.

Aslong as you get all the instruments for the game, I would say that Guitar Hero Greatest Hits is the best music based game for beginners.

After the latest E3 conference Nintendo and its team with Electronic Arts publisher announced a new game similar to the successful Nintendo Wii game Guitar Hero titled The Beatles Rock Band Wii. People and fans are all thrilled to see what the new game will offer with the new bundled instruments that will give players and rock band gaming experience on stage with their favourite legendary band The Beatles.

The game will be launched for all three consoles, that includes Wii, PS3 and Xbox 306 with instruments for each. It is similar to Guitar Hero where players compete in different challenges, perform on stage in front of thousand people crowd using the instruments that get bundled with the game which will be a two types of guitars, one is bass guitar and a set of drums!

Not only that you will be able to play instruments but you will also try yourself as one of the singers of The Beatles group. Get through full journey of the bands carer and listen to the unreleased authentic voice recording from Paul, John, George and Ringo chatting between studio sessions recorded while ago! Get closer to the group and know all their secrets while going through their collection of best selling song albums!

The Beatles Rock Band Wii will be selling for around 50$ as a standalone game, if you want to get it bundled with guitar it will be much more or with all three instruments for around 250$. Are you ready to enjoy being one of The Beatles member at your home while playing their own music? Of course!

It is often agreed by countless gamers and critics together that Bioshock is an example of the greatest First Person Shooters during the past ten years. It holds a typical critic rating of 96% at Metacritic.com, and some communities even describe the game as a work of art.
